History

Everett Tax & Accounting began in Eden Prairie, Minnesota providing forensic accounting services to Family Law clients requiring asset discovery, financial and tax consulting.  In 2004 the accounting practice of Nancy Perkins P.A. in Burnsville, Minnesota was acquired.  Shortly thereafter the office was relocated to it's current location in Burnsville where the primary specialization has changed to small business and personal tax preparation, tax consulting and financial accounting.

The primary accountant is Gary W. Everett assisted by Cindy McLey his long time Administrative Assistant.  At times during the busy tax season, it appears as though Cindy is assisted by Gary and the other tax preparers. 

Gary spend a number of years in the executive offices of Sears and Coast to Coast Stores before starting a retail consulting business, Retail Support, Inc. in 1986.  After selling RSI to a large retail chain, Gary pursued his interest in tax accounting by advising small business owners involved in divorce matters.

Education & Qualifications

Gary holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Missouri Western State University and a Masters of Business Administation in Accounting from the University of St. Thomas.  In  addition to many continuing tax education courses Gary is a member of National Society of Accountants and the Minnesota Association of CPA's.
